Galentine's Day Celebration: Supporting small Women-Owned Businesses

Supporting small businesses is something I'm passionate about, I much rather buy from a small business than ordering off Amazon or other big brands.

And if the small business is women-owned even better!

Seeing as it is almost Galentine's day (the day to celebrate your female friendships) I thought it would be lovely to celebrate some of the amazing small, female-owned businesses I've gotten to know over the years.

Please go have a look at their website or Instagram, give them a follow or even better try out some of their products/services!

Supporting My favourite small women-owned businesses

In no particular order here are some of my favourites:

Olive & Joyce

Olive & Joyce skincare - small business

Emily makes the most lush skin care products. I've been buying my face cream and cleanser from her for 2 years now and whenever I run out and have to use a backup product I just miss the smell and feel of hers immediately! One of the best things about her products is that you only need one cream and one cleanser- non of this day/night/special eye cream nonsense. For someone who struggles to look after her skin, this is a dream! Emily only uses natural ingredients and each jar is handmade by her.

Glasgow Soap Co.

Glasgow Soap Company - female run business

Fellow colour lover Ashley runs her soap making company with her husband (and with the (questionable) help of their little boys). They turned iconic Scottish products into soaps, bath salts and lip balms.

We all need more self-care in our lives and Ashley makes the most gorgeous products to do just that! The Sno' fairy bubble bath - oh my goodness - it smells delicious, makes great bubbles and is bright pink (I mean LOVE)!

Shiny Happy Digital
Shiny happy Digital - small business

Hannah creates the most dopamine endorsing websites (and is the genius behind my recent happified website)! If you love joyful and personality filled websites, whether you need a completely new one or just want to tweak it a bit, Hannah is your person!

Rook botanics

Rook Botanics - female owned business

If you’ve been following me for a while you know I co-host Small Biz Big Chat a relaxed networking event for female business owners in Scotland. A wee while ago Sarah joined us as a co-host. But in her day-to-day life Sarah is a florist and creates amazing arrangements for your special occasions. No special occasion coming up? Go check out her workshops. They are so much fun and you get to leave with a beautiful floral creation!

Small Fish Brand Co.

Small Fish Brand co - small business

Rhiannon (my business bestie) is an amazing photographer, so if you need new brand photos, go check her out! Rhiannon also loves to mentor fellow small business owners and is an amazing help to guide and support you in your growing business. She also hosts an great podcast for mumpreneurs, go have a listen..

Kreuzberg Chocolates

Kreuzberg chocolate - small business

Artisan Ethical Chocolates- do I need to say more? Well maybe I do, because Jen has put so much thought into her products not just into her flavours but also into her packaging. Jen is super passionate about creating ethically and locally sourced chocolates but also matching the fillings with the chocolate shells. Go and treat yourself to a beautiful box of delicious chocolates, you won't be disappointed!
