When Poppy first reached out to me, she was juggling a lot. She had built Daphne & friends CIC, a beautiful community for families navigating life after baby and child loss. It was full of warmth, play and connection but visually, it just didn’t feel right.

Poppy had been trying to piece things together in Canva, using colours from her celebrant business and a font she’d found online. But it wasn’t capturing the heart of what Daphne & Friends stood for.

 

Her flyers blended into café noticeboards, and instead of standing out, her brand seemed to disappear. She knew that if people couldn’t sense the group’s feeling from the very first glance, they didn't see the trust or welcome she worked so hard to create.

The breaking point came when she saw another business using the same Canva template. That’s when she decided it was time to invest in a Complete Brand Identity to have something that was truly her own, something that would finally bring her vision to life.

From our very first chat, it was clear that she had an amazing vision. One full of heart, ideas and energy, but needed someone to help her pull it all together. 

So, we got to work.

I guided Poppy through my step-by-step brand design process, one thoughtful stage at a time. She described it as “brilliantly organised”, a welcome structure for her scattergun brain, as she put it. Each survey and call became a space for reflection, helping her dig deeper into what Daphne & Friends really meant, who it was for, and how to express that visually.

And then came the big moment: design reveal day.

Poppy said she was nervous opening the email, the kind of nerves that come when something feels really important.

 

But as she scrolled through her brand concepts, those nerves melted away. “I was blown away,” she said. “You captured the vision perfectly, and it made it feel real and tangible.” 

Since launching her new branding, Daphne & Friends has gone from strength to strength. Poppy now approaches hospitals and larger organisations with confidence, armed with beautifully designed business cards, flyers, and lanyards that reflect the warmth and professionalism of her work.

She told me, “It’s given me a lot of confidence. I feel professional and organised. People recognise us now.”

That confidence has rippled through everything, from expanding her sessions to bringing volunteers on board, to building a stronger online presence.

 

What started as a simple rebrand became the foundation for Daphne & Friends to grow into the thriving, trusted community it is today.
